Vintage black velvet cape with jeweled collar and cuff holes. It is real velvet soft and light. There is one button to close at the neck. The shoulders have an effect stitched all around giving shape and detail. This is a STUNNING piece. It is a dramatic and sultry piece that exudes an air of art and theater and an old bohemian elegance that maybe exists in Paris still. Everyone I have shown this too says " Wow".
Black velvet is notoriously hard to photograph so I have lightened some photos to show the details. This means some of the tiny lint is visible too, but in person you can not see these. I apologize for the quality of the video, again it is quite difficult to capture black velvet in detail.
The neck and shoulders buttoned do feel a bit tight to me so I believe this was custom made. I wear a size 8 if this helps. I would still wear it despite the slight tightness. I have put measurements below. This cape is lined inside with a silky poly material there is slight discoloration in the lining. There is but one flaw I should mention and that is the seam of the right armhole is slightly separated. See the last photo.
