This feels and looks like wool to me but the tag reads its machine washable- I would suggest you may on a cold gentle cycle. Measurements are below if you would like to compare byt this reads like a true size 2. Always best to buy when they are a little smaller so they can grow into the clothes and you get a longer wear, maybe at 18-24 months.
