Vintage 1960's Silk Dress. Absolutely stunning dark blue Chinese silk tailored sheath dress. Notice the draped but also darted bust meets with a cinched waist that falls into a skirt that has a single pleat at either side of the hips. This is impeccably made, you can see the hand stitching detail of inside the dress in the last photo. The square back has a zipper to close and three ribbons to tie for added feminine detail. This comes from the closet of a wealthy woman in one of the most elite neighborhoods in Washington DC. She had wonderful taste and the budget to have the finest silks custom tailored into fashionable dresses. As this is a custom dress the measurements are important to look at, the waist is tiny but the chest and hips have more space. The waist of this dress was too small to fit on to my dress. If you are in the DMV area I am happy to arrange for you to try this on. This dress could be tailored to fit your body as needed. Best fit size 24 waist.

C O N D I T I O N: Excellent. There is one MINOR flaw and that is at the back the second little ribbon one of them is hanging by a thread it will need to be restitched. I also think the zipper is a bit tight and one needs two hands to zip it closed and open. Otherwise there are no flaws. It is beautifully made and kept.
